Both Northmor track teams finished second on Saturday in the 11-team Dave Schorr Invitational hosted by Ridgedale High School.

The boys’ finished with 114 points to only finish behind Bucyrus’ total of 143 points.

Cowin Becker picked up a win for the Golden Knights, claiming first in the long jump with an attempt of 18’11.5.

The team took second in three relays. Bo Landin, Ethan Amens, Levi Hunter and Becker were second in the 400 relay in 46.96; while Landin, Charlie Sipple, Hunter and Becker took second in the 800 relay in 1:37.9 and the foursome of Griffin Healea, David Blunk, Ryan Lehman and Lucas Weaver were second in the 3200 relay with a time of 8:42.24.

Cade Miracle was second in the pole vault by clearing 11’. Hunter added a second-place finish in the 300 hurdles in 48.31. Weaver’s time of 2:04.94 was good for second in the 800, while Blunk took second in the 1600 in 4:43.16.

Lehman took third in both the 1600 (4:48.55) and 3200 (10:43.41), while Bo Landin’s time of 11.94 was good for third in the 100.

For Cardington, who finished eighth with 40 points, Aiden Reitmire placed first in the 800 in 2:04.58. He also teamed with Isaac DelaCruz, Jason Bockbrader and A.J. Brehm to take third in the 1600 relay in 3:45.86.

Gilead Christian was 11th with 10 points. Their top finisher was Kirby Roles, who took fourth in the 110 hurdles.

The girls’ team scored 82 points to only finish behind Fredericktown. Cardington was third with 68, while Gilead Christian placed seventh with 36.

Bre York won the high jump for the Lady Golden Knights. She cleared 4’6”. Natalie Hunter took second in the pole vault by clearing 8’ and also was second in the 800 with a time of 2:43.01.

Kate Lehman ran second in the 3200 in 12:53.12 and also was third in the 1600 with a time of 5:56.87. The team also was third in a pair of relays. Lyla Bishop, Hunter, York and Ryann Brinkman finished the 1600 relay in 4:40.7; while Maizy Brinkman, Ella Creswell, Kelbie Kightlinger and Lehman finished the 3200 relay in 12:13.58.

Cardington’s girls were paced by their distance runners. Loey Hallabrin, Gracie Meade, Morgan White and Magi Hallabrin won the 3200 relay in 11:18.3. Loey Hallabrin also won the 800 in 2:33.78 and took second in the 1600 in 5:48.98.

Magi Hallabrin added a third-place finish in the 800 in 2:44.51. White placed third in the 3200 with a time of 13:51.35.

For Gilead Christian, Bethany Breker led the way by taking third in the long jump with an effort of 13’6.5”.
