Burglary- The caller reported a shed on the property being broken into with gasoline being stolen.

Burglary- Staff reported someone broke into an apartment and took tools.

Jan. 29

Lockout- Entry was gained with no damage.

Jan. 30

A.O.L.E.A.- Police responded to a location in reference to a reported burglary in progress. The was determined to be unfounded.

Property damage accident- A subject was southbound on Iberia St. and turning Eastbound on West High St. A second vehicle was eastbound on West High St. and turning northbound on Iberia St. The first vehicle struck the second vehicle in the side causing property damage.

Jan. 31

Theft- A caller reported that someone, suspected to be her niece, possibly used her bank card, credit cards, sold her house and sold her cars. Police advised they would documentation to start an investigation.

Feb. 1

Escort or parade detail- Police escorted a village employee to a bank.

Theft- An individual took a bottle of liquor and left without paying.

Feb. 2

Investigate complaint- Caller advised she heard a very loud bang on her bedroom window as if someone was trying to break into her trailer. Police didn’t observe any damage to the windows on her trailer. Police patrolled the location and was unable to locate anything out of the ordinary.

Well being check- An anonymous person reported seeing a female with bruises on her. This person was worried about domestic issues at home. Police went to the female’s known address and was unable to make contact.

Investigate complaint- Caller located a knife in her yard. Police gave her suggestions on how to dispose of it.

Juvenile complaint- A caller stated his niece, attacked his wife. Police spoke with the wife and she advised the niece had mental issues and wanted to get her help. Police spoke with the niece who stated she had been bullied.

Feb. 3

Disabled vehicle- Police were called about a disabled vehicle in the roadway in front of a business. When police arrived, they found a trailer that broke an air line and was not able to move. Police waited until help arrived.

Investigate complaint- Police were called to a location about someone messing around the outside of their home. When police arrived they checked the area and were not able to find anyone. Police advised the caller and cleared the call.

Open door- While police were on foot patrol, they located an unlocked door. Police found nothing out of place inside and secured the door.

Feb. 5

Drunk- Police arrested and cited a person on charges of speed, failure to comply, resisting arrest, OVI and open container in a motor vehicle.

Feb. 7

Investigate complaint- A caller reported that the door to her garage was open and her alarm was activated. It was determined that the door had not been latched.

Found property- A tree service found a wallet on the east side of the a business. ID cards were inside and both were out of Cardington. Police requested Cardington PD to attempt to make contact with them.

Escort or parade detail- Police escorted a village employee to a bank.

Feb. 8

Theft- It was reported that a female was scammed out of $2,900 via an email scam from individuals claiming to be from Geek Squad. The female was directed to the FBI internet crime complaint center to file a report.
