University of Findlay’s Cattle Team Compete in Livestock Shows

FINDLAY-Members of University of Findlay’s Cattle Team participated in the fall 2022 North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) that was held in Louisville, Ky. It is one of the largest and most prestigious livestock shows in the United States. UF’s team had an excellent showing in the American Aberdeen cattle show. UF added Aberdeen cattle to the Animal Science Program in 2008.

UF team members also attended the winter 2023 National Western Stock Show (NWSS) that was held in Denver, Colo.

Local students participated in one or both shows and include:

Allison Page, of Mount Vernon. Page showed the Reserve Champion Junior Heifer Calf at the North American International Livestock Exposition.

Ashley Huffine, of Marengo. Huffine participated in the North American International Livestock Exposition.

UF Bands to Perform ‘Danzon’

FINDLAY— University of Findlay’s Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will perform a concert titled “Danzon” at 3 p.m. on March 12, 2023. The performance will be held in The Winebrenner Building at the University of Findlay.

Both bands will perform music from around the world and throughout history inspired by dance. The bands will be under the direction of Wes King, Director of Bands at UF.

The concert is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for the event. Tickets are available at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts box office, by visiting www.mcpa.org, or calling 419-423-2787.
