In their season-opening boys’ basketball game, Highland fell at home to Horizon Science Academy by a 60-48 margin.

A big third quarter by Horizon proved decisive in the game. While Highland trailed 12-9 after the first quarter and 29-25 at the half, they were outscored 18-7 in the third to fall behind by 15 points. The Scots took a 16-13 advantage in the fourth quarter to cut into their deficit, but were unable to overcome it.

Garrett Fitzpatrick led the way for Highland with 12 points, while both Jordan Bellamy and Rider Minnick both tallied 11.
