Highland picked up another win in volleyball to improve to 16-0, 10-0 in league play, on Tuesday by defeating host Elgin 25-3, 25-14, 25-13.

Ashton Terrill finished with 14 kills and six aces, while Raina Terry tallied eight kills and Bailey Santo added seven aces. Krista Walters added seven kills and two blocks, Taylor Belcher picked up six kills and Kelsey Walters finished with four kills.

The Scots also won the JV and freshman matches to make it a clean sweep on the day.

Cardington Pirates

Northmor’s volleyball win streak came to an end Tuesday when Cardington topped the Knights by scores of 21-25, 25-27, 25-14, 22-25.

Cardington got 16 kills from Jordan Deskins, while Kyndall Spires added 14 kills and four blocks. Marissa Hall finished with 45 assists. Also, Rylie Partlow tallied 25 digs and Rachael Rees finished with 19 digs and seven kills.

For Northmor, both Kelsie Fike and Anna Donner tallied 10 kills, with Fike adding three aces and Donner also contributing four blocks, two aces and 25 digs. Rayanna Lower finished with nine kills and two blocks, Caitlin Thebeault added five kills and six assists and Hope Miracle finished with four kills.

Jordyn Zoll tallied two blocks, 29 assists, one ace and 13 digs. Also, Lindsey Wiseman had 26 digs and Cristianna Boggs picked up eight more. The Knights did win the night’s JV match.
