
The Chester Arbor of the Gleaner’s Fraternal Insurance Society, presented a $1,000 check to Becky Barker, OSU Extension Agent and Martha Osborn, a member of the 4-H Executive Committee.
The money will be used to help the Morrow County 4-H programs.
During the Gleaner’s meeting, held at the Edison Depot on Feb. 1, Jodi Demo-Hodgins from the Crawford-Marion ADAMH board gave a talk on drugs in the area.
Linda Ruehrmund gave a report on coming events which included the “Jump for Your Heart” project at Pleasant School on Feb. 5 where the Gleaners would be assisting.
The Gleaners will have a Valentine party for residents of Woodside Village Care Center on February 10 and later, they will help with a program on the use of communication skills at Cardington schools. Gleaner members volunteered to help with these projects.
Marilyn Davis, secretary/treasurer, gave her reports.
The Gleaners will meet next at 10:30 a.m. on March 7 at the First Presbyterian Church, Mt Gilead when Kim Porter will present the program on “Snuggled in Hope.”
The 7 p.m. meeting on March 14 at Hospice of Morrow County will focus on the topic, “What you need to know about advanced directives.”
