The American Red Cross encourages the community to make a lifesaving commitment to donate blood to help ensure a sufficient blood supply in the new year, beginning in January with National Blood Donor Month. Upcoming blood donation opportunities in Morrow County are: Jan. 11, Trinity United Methodist Church, Mount Gilead, noon to 6 p.m.; Jan. 16, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Shauck, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Feb. 5, Marengo United Methodist Church, Marengo, noon to 6 p.m.; Feb. 6, Cardington First United Methodist Church, Cardington, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
