A Kids’ Grief Workshop was conducted by Hospice of Morrow County on November 14, 2015 at the Hospice facility on South Street, Mt Gilead.

The workshop was attended by youths ages six to 12. Present were 21 youths and many parents who enjoyed games, crafts, activities, instruction and food.

The instruction involved dealing with isolation, anger and loss of hope that is associated with grief.

The youths decorated Christmas cookies, made tree ornaments, followed a grief trail, heard stories and shared lunch with family members.

This workshop is held three times a year with the next event scheduled for April 2, 2016. It is free but requires prior registration. Questions can be answered by contacting Chaplain Jeff Slider at 419-946-9971.
