The two day 39th annual Rod ‘N Tiques Car Show sustained a wet first day but bounced back on Sunday, June 21, when 130 cars were displayed at the Morrow County Fairgrounds.
The Memorial Trophy winner was Fred Barlow.
Winners on Saturday were Matt Fink with a 1971 Chevy Camaro; Joseph Edwards, 1976 Chevy Corvette; Jody Edwards, 2012 Mustang Fast Back; Bill Glunt, 1969 Chevy Truck; Bru and Daniel Webb, 1957 Chevy; Bob Mason, 1970 Olds Cutlass; Bob Delaney, 1973 Chevy Nova; Bryan Alavra, 1957 Chevy four door wagon; Tank Stroupe, 1967 Pontiac GTO and Doug Hutchinson, 1969 Ford Mustang.
Thirty four cars were displayed Saturday.

Winners in Sunday’s competition were Warren Kohler, Stephen Post, Harry Griffith, Mike and Connie Young, Bill Glunt, Steve Littleton, Chris Hook, Butch Howard, Thomas Brown, Harold and Peggy Sue Williams, Terry and Susan Weber, Phil and Gaylon Lyons, Melfe, Frank Agriesti, Randy Burns, Sam Heffley, Brett Gilmore, Dave Sharrock, Kenny Cahill, Bob Souder, Dwayne Wilson, Bob Harmon, Dan Kuhn, Dave and Judy Tighe, Dennis Real, Jenkins, Nancy Russel, Ray Haney, Laura Gourish, Rick Ridenour, Daniel Webb, Bill Long, Chris Grace, Joel Haveston, Garret Thomas, Leonard Curtis, Don and Becky Schwan, Jeane Pitt, Kensie Pitt, Eric Pitt, Don Snyder, Bryan and Brenda Alaura, Bob Benson, Keith Puffer, Tom Kohler, Greg Holloway, Tim Frank, Jim Clements, Cohen Evans, Hank and Deb Davis, Dwayne Everly, William Faukner, Barbara Beer, Rod and Patty O’Leary, Scott Burggraf, Bob Adams, Ed and Lynn Post, Matt Funk, John Massey, Mike Delaney, Dave Hartwig and Joe Edwards.

Motorcycle awards were made on Sunday to Jeremy King, Harold Russell and Alan Hedrick.

First place winner in the Hot Wheels Race was Damian Foor.

Contest winners were Fan Belt Toss: Children: Mike Delaney and Adult: Dave Hartwig

Blind Driver: Children: Lily Garish and Gerri Bedell; Adult: Doug and Carrie Foor.

Creeper: Children: Mackenzie Sidders; Adult: Doug Foor.

Water Balloon Toss: Cody Long and Jacob Long.

Toilet Paper Toss: Children: Jordan Welch and Adult: Brenda Alaura.

The Morrow County Veterans and the Dog Shelter, each had a booth at the event. Vendors were Pizza Hut, North Star Concessions and Bambi’s Desserts.

The 1970 Volkswagen Beetle that Brian Deskins had begun to rebuild for his daughter, Jordan, was displayed. Brian passed away in November, 2014 and was an active member of Rod ‘N Tiques for 20 years. The automobile’s restoration is being completed by members of the club.

Sponsoring the show were Subway, Mount Gilead and Bush Farms.

Officers of the Rod ‘N Tiques car club are Damon Cooper, president; Jim Martin, vice president; Cherri Monroe, secretary and Pat Redman, treasurer. Nick and Kathy Cochran are business managers.
