Linda K. Shoewalter, age 75, of Mount Gilead, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 3, 2021, at the OSU James Cancer Hospital, with her loving children by her side.
On June 23, 1945, Linda was born in Marengo, Ohio, a daughter of the late Noah Smith and Ruby Gladys (McNickle) Saunders. She graduated from Highland High School in the Class of 1963.
Linda married Ted Allen Shoewalter on October 7, 1967 at the Marengo United Methodist Church. They shared over 27 years as husband and wife before he preceded her in death on February 22, 1995.
For many years, Linda was a clerk/typist for HPM. She finished her career working as a cashier at Kroger.
Linda will be missed by her two children: Lisa (Phil) Berger of Westerville, Bret Shoewalter of Westerville; and three grandchildren: Noah, Leah and Hannah Berger.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Howard Saunders, Jo Ann Dowis and Martha Sherman.
Linda’s family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead. Private graveside services will be held at Rivercliff Cemetery.
