CHESTERVILLE — Selover Library in Chesterville and the OSU Extension Office of Morrow County have found a way for you to chase the winter blues away.

They are teaming up to provide a Forcing Bulbs workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 6:30 p.m., at the library. This class will teach you how to force bulbs indoors so that you can enjoy cheerful spring blooms during the dreary days of December.

Extension Educator Carri Jagger along with Master Gardeners will lead the class. All supplies will be provided. Participants will leave the class with a pot of paperwhites, a type of narcissus, which they will take home to finish forcing.

“We planned the date carefully,” explains Selover Librarian Tammy Keefer, who coordinated the workshop with the Extension Office. “The flowers should bloom just in time to use for Christmas gifts.”

Spaces for the class are limited, so those wishing to attend should visit the library or sign up online at http://selover.lib.oh.us/registration. There is a $5 non-refundable fee to pay for supplies.

Forcing Bulbs workshop participants will receive the supplies they need at Selover Library.
