Mount Gilead track teams compete in tri on Tuesday

Mount Gilead track competed against Galion and Pleasant on Tuesday, with the boys winning and girls taking third place.

For the boys, who edged Galion by two points, the 3200 relay team of Nick Weiss, Kyle Ciballi, Austin Hallabrin and Casey White won in 8:40; while the 1600 relay team of Ciballi, Colten Clark, Hallabrin and Weiss claimed first in 3:38.5.

Jonah Barnett and Dustin Fraizer tied for first in the 100 in 11.4. Also, Weiss won the 1600 in 4:48, Hallabrin took the 400 in 51.3, White took first in the 800 in 2:13.4 and Sy Shipman claimed the 3200 in 11:06.3.

For the girls, the 1600-meter relay took first in 4:24. Erin Zmuda, Darcy Picker, Hannah Bush and Jenna Shipman ran in that race. Olivia Brewer won the 100 in 12.8 and the 200 in 27.4, while Shipman took the 800 in 2:27.5 and Kelsey Snyder won the 3200 with a time of 13:21.6.
