Mount Gilead got back into the win column with a 6-5 win at East Knox Friday. After falling behind 2-0 in the first inning, the Indians scored four in the second, one in the third and one in the top of the sixth to take a 6-2 lead. While they gave up three over the final two innings, they were able to hold on and pick up the win.

Noah Arrington hit a triple for the Indians, while Jake Wayt added a double.

Northmor Knights

Northmor battled back at home against Elgin on Friday to take a 7-6 win in eight innings. Elgin led 2-0 after the first inning and 5-4 after four frames, but after increasing that lead to a 6-4 margin in the top of the sixth, the Knights got two in the bottom of the inning to tie the score. They would then get one in the eight to take the win.

Bryan Hammond, Sam Eichorn, Gunnar Lilly and Jake Farley all pitched for Northmor, with Farley getting the win. They combined for 10 strikeouts and eight walks.

Offensively, the Knights got nine hits and took advantage of nine Comet errors. Hammond had a double, while Farley, Nate Hall and Conan Becker all had two singles each.

Highland Scots

The Scots won 9-6 in the second game, getting 13 hits in the process. Senior Justin Robinson picked up his first varsity win, giving up one earned run in five innings. Andrew Stillwell and Chase Beam also saw action on the mound.
