Highland scored late to take a 2-1 win over East Knox Wednesday in a pitchers’ duel.
Both teams scored once in the first and the score remained knotted at 1-1 until the sixth inning, when Lane Ballard drove in the winning run with a single.
Andrew Stillwell picked up the win, striking out three, walking four and surrendering two hits. He also scored the team’s first run on a Conner Ulrey single. Mack Anglin pitched two hitless innings, striking out three, to earn his first high school save.
