Northmor picked up a win at Bucyrus on Tuesday, topping the Redmen 6-3.

The Knight baseball team surrendered a run in the first and two more in the third inning to fall behind by a 3-0 margin, but scored one in the fifth and erupted for five in the sixth to surge past their hosts and improve to 3-3 on the year.

Jordan Wiseman, Sam Eichorn and Jake Farley combined to strike out 10 and walk nine, while only giving up three hits. Eichorn earned the win and Farley added the save. Offensively, Farley had three hits and Gunnar Lilly, Bryan Hammond and Tyler Kegley all added two.

“We’re not going to win too many games when we strike out 16 times, but this team shows resolve and competes for seven innings,” said coach Buck Workman. “I’m pleased with our effort. We played well defensively in this one, which has rarely been the case this year.”
