Host Highland picked up a big league win Tuesday against Mount Gilead by a 10-1 margin.

The Scots scored four runs in the fourth inning to break open a scoreless game. After MG tallied one in the fifth, the Scots erupted for six more in the sixth frame to pull away for the nine-run game.

Conner Ulrey picked up the win for the Scots, with Mack Anglin seeing action in relief. The two combined for a three-hitter, while their team backed them up with 12 hits.

Shane Carney had three hits, including a double; while Chase Beam cracked a pair of doubles. Both Alex Wright and Max Schreiber added two hits each.

Northmor Knights

A late Buckeye Central rally doomed Northmor on Tuesday, as the Bucks rallied to take a 7-6 win.

After trailing 3-2 after three innings of play, the Knights scored two runs in the top of the fourth and two more in the sixth to take a 6-3 lead. However, Buckeye Central tallied four runs in the bottom of the sixth and were able to hold on for the win.

Jake Farley struck out eight and walked two over 5.2 innings to suffer the loss. He surrendered eight hits, but only three of BC’s runs were earned. Sam Eichorn finished the game, striking out the one batter he faced. Both Farley and Tyler Kegley got two hits for the Knights.
