Former Highland High School boys’ basketball coach Mike Hoyng will be one of five people inducted into the District 11 Hall of Fame.

He will be inducted as part of District 11’s ninth class along with coaches Ric Cavicchia, Big Walnut; Jerry Groves, Pickerington North and Bill McElroy, Elgin; and Steve Blackledge, sportswriter for the Columbus Dispatch.

The Class of 2016 will be inducted at the Hall of Fame banquet on Sunday, April 10, at the Clover Valley Golf Club outside of Johnstown at 1 p.m. (social half hour at 12:30 p.m.).

This banquet is open to any basketball coaches, administrators, former players or friends who would like to honor these individuals. The fee is $20 per plate for the meal.
