Highland’s boys’ basketball season ended Monday on the road against second-seeded Johnstown in the opening round of the Division II tournament by a 51-28 margin.

The game was closely contested through one quarter of play, with the Johnnies holding a slim 12-8 lead. However, Johnstown would take the second period 15-7 and then had an 18-2 advantage in the third to expand their advantage to a 45-17 margin. While the Scots outscored their opponents 11-6 in the fourth quarter, they would be unable to overcome that deficit.

Highland’s top scorer was Quin Winkelfoos, who finished with eight points.
