Cardington lost again in non-conference play on Thursday at home against Utica by a 44-42 margin.
The Pirates, who are 3-4 overall, but 3-0 in league play, led 12-9 after one quarter and 20-13 at the half, but were outscored 11-7 in the third quarter and 20-15 in the fourth as Utica battled back to pick up the win.
For Cardington, Derek Goodman connected on three three-pointers on his way to a 16-point game. Both Devin Pearl and Luke McCarrell added eight.
