The Highland seventh grade girls’ basketball team has gotten off to a strong start, with five early wins in their season.
On Nov. 30, the Scots outscored Galion 19-0 in the first quarter on their way to a 47-11 win. They continued their strong defensive performance with a 35-12 win over Mount Gilead on Dec. 2 and then topped Centerburg 32-14 on Dec. 7 after taking a 14-0 lead after one period of play.
On Dec. 9, Highland topped Northmor 36-3 and then, on Dec. 14, they defeated Fredericktown 24-6.
