Brady and Logan Thompson, Cardington, recently were notified of MOAC and Central District Team honors.

Brady Thompson, a senior at Marion Pleasant, was selected to the first team MOAC and second team Central District. Thompson led the Pleasant Spartans to a 10-5-4 season ending with a loss to Worthington Christian in the third round of tournament play. Thompson was a four-year varsity starter as goalie and accumulated several school records including 8 shutouts in a season and 19 shutouts in a career. As a senior, Thompson was selected to play in the All-Star game for area seniors this weekend.

The younger Thompson brother, Logan, was also selected as first team MOAC. He garnered a third team Central District recognition as well. Thompson led the Spartan soccer team in goals scored with a total of 29 for the season. Thompson is a sophomore and has been a varsity starter for two years. In two years, Logan has a total of 40 goals and 14 assists.

Brady and Logan are the sons of Jeff and Brenda Thompson, Cardington and grandsons of Lowell and Margie Chilcote of Mt. Gilead.
