Fredericktown pulled away from Mount Gilead late on Tuesday night to claim a 51-42 win over the Lady Indians.

The Indians trailed by a 17-15 margin after eight minutes of play. The Freddies extended their lead to a 24-19 score by the half and still had a 36-32 lead going into the fourth period. Unfortunately for MG, they were outscored 15-10 during that quarter to lose their second game of the season against six wins.

For Mount Gilead, both Candace Millisor and Madilyn Elson tallied 14 points in the contest.

Highland Scots

The Highland girls’ basketball team fell to visiting East Knox on Monday by a 41-35 margin.

Emma West scored a career high 23 points to lead the Scot effort in the contest.
