A ferocious fourth-quarter comeback boosted visiting Cardington past Pleasant by a 67-66 margin on Friday.

The Spartans held a narrow lead of 13-10 after the first quarter, which they maintained into the half at 29-26. However, they would expand their advantage to a 54-43 margin by the end of the third period of play. Cardington roared back to take a 24-12 edge in the fourth quarter, though, to wind up on top by one point.

Trey Brininger led the team with 24 points. Both Avery Harper and Nate Hickman added 14.

Northmor Golden Knights

Northmor was close to host Pleasant in the early going on Saturday, but the Spartans pulled away to finish on top by a 61-44 margin.

The score was tied at 13 after eight minutes of play, but Pleasant was able to manufacture a 24-20 lead by halftime and they expanded that to a 39-31 margin going into the fourth. Northmor would be outscored 22-13 in the final period to finish the game.

Kooper Keen led Northmor with 16 points, while Logan Mariotti tallied four three-pointers in scoring 12. Graesin Cass added eight.
