Mount Gilead battled Northridge in a close game on Friday that needed an extra period to determine the winner.

Unfortunately for the Indians, that decision went to the Vikings by a 26-20 margin to drop MG to 1-2 after the non-conference portion of their schedule. Mount Gilead will return to the road next Friday to take on county rival Cardington (2-1).

Northmor also fell to 1-2 after losing to Lucas by a 36-6 margin. The Knights open league play next Friday at home against Centerburg. Highland will look for their first win of the season at East Knox. The Scots fell 27-7 to River Valley tonight.
