Scot spikers top MG; Pirates and Knights fall

Highland cruised to a volleyball win at Mount Gilead on Thursday, topping the Indians by scores of 25-11, 25-8 and 25-7.

Ashton Terrill and Elora Stiltner both tallied seven kills for the Scots, while Sierra Mailey picked up six kills and 10 digs. Both Brogin Denman and Bridget Oder had 11 digs, with Denman adding five aces during her serve.

Northmor Knights

Northmor suffered another setback in conference play on Thursday, losing to Elgin 21-25, 23-25, 25-18 and 23-25.

Jordyn Zoll had 25 assists, one block, eight kills, two aces and 14 digs for the Knights, while Erica McElvain added 12 assists and 10 digs.

Mikayla Briggs finished with three blocks and seven kills, Hope Miracle had two blocks and four kills and Karlee Carroll tallied 10 kills, two aces and 27 digs. Anna Donner finished with seven kills, two aces and 14 digs; Kelsie Fike picked up an ace; Cristianna Boggs had 20 digs and Lindsey Wiseman added 16 digs.

Cardington Pirates

Cardington suffered a 21-25, 19-25, 25-15, 9-25 loss to Fredericktown in volleyball action from Thursday.

MaKenna McClure led the Pirates with nine kills, while Rylie Partlow had 34 digs, Samantha Brininger added 23 digs and Jordan Deskins picked up 10 assists.
