Adam Miller (SO/Galena, Ohio) of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s soccer team has been selected as the Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in a pair of victories this past weekend.

Miller, a sophomore goalkeeper from Galena, Ohio, picked up two wins and a pair of shutouts, powering the MVNU defense against Asbury University (Ky.) and Georgetown College (Ky.) to open the season. Miller recorded four total saves by stopping a pair of shots in each match. Miller led the Cougars with 46 saves, four shutouts, and six wins last season as a freshman and is off to a great start in 2015.

Miller and the Cougars will be back on the pitch next weekend when they travel to Chicago for matches on Friday and Saturday. MVNU will face Roosevelt University on Friday at 5:00 PM and then take on Olivet Nazarene University at 7:00 PM Saturday.
