Northmor picked up a win in volleyball on Thursday, defeating East Knox in three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-15 to improve to 9-7, 6-3 in league matches.
Julianne Kincaid tallied 10 kills for the Golden Knights, while Leslie Brubaker had six kills, three aces and six digs. Both Lexi Wenger and Megan Adkins finished with four kills and Macy Miracle contributed 24 assists, six aces and eight digs. Abby Donner also had eight digs.
Highland Scots
Highland moved one game closer to claiming a seventh-straight league championship on Thursday when they topped Fredericktown by a 25-23, 25-14, 27-25 margin.
The win, which improved the team to 10-0 in league play and 13-4 overall, was sparked by a 14-kill performance from Raina Terry. Kendall Stover added nine kills, while Makenna Belcher finished with seven kills and two aces. Gena West, Abby Eusey, Ashlynn Belcher and Stover all had three blocks for the team and Darcie Walters added a pair of aces.
