Cardington golfers split with Highland, Centerburg

Cardington split a pair of recent Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference golf matches.

On last Thursday, they were edged 205-207 by Highland. The Scots were led by Ryan Minyo’s round of 46, while Sam Lopiccolo scored 47, Caleb Dodds shot 48 and Cameron Snyder was at 64 shots.

The Pirates did have the meet medalist in Austin Yake, who shot 45. Nadia Kerman followed with a round of 46 and both Austin Wilson and Sage Brannon finished with a score of 58.

Cardington would then win a close one on Monday, edging Centerburg 193-195. While Centerburg’s Josh Bauman was medalist with a round of 44, the Pirates had the next three scores, as Kerman shot 45, Yake scored 46 and Jacob Long finished with 49 strokes.

Also, Logan Doubikin shot 53, Austin Wilson scored 55 and Sage Brannon finished with a round of 64.
