Cardington opened their girls’ basketball season with a 69-51 home win against Ashland Crestview on Friday.
The Pirates got 21 points from Casey Bertke in a winning effort. Kynlee Edwards scored 12 points and Dana Bertke also was in double figures with 11. Also, Taylor Reppart finished with nine and Hannah Wickline scored eight.

Northmor’s girls opened their season with a pair of close losses to Crawford County opponents.
On Friday, the team fell 31-29 at home to Colonel Crawford. The team was on the road the next night and was edged 51-48 by Bucyrus.
