In his first season of coaching the Northmor varsity girls’ basketball team, Freddie Beachy will return three letter-winners.

Seniors Cristianna Boggs, Brooke Bennett and Becca Duckworth are back from last year’s team. However, the coach will have to replace a quartet of graduates.

Maddie Swihart (first team), Karalee Patterson (second team) and Lydia Farley (honorable mention) all earned all-MOAC honors last year, while Lindsey Wiseman also graduated.

“We want to be competitive in every game and compete for the conference title,” said Beachy of his goals for the year.

Helping the team reach those goals will be a number of new varsity players. The coach is looking for contributions from junior Addie Farley and sophomores Julianna DiTullio, Macy Miracle and Leslie Brubaker.

In the first year of the KMAC, Beachy expects Cardington to be strong, Danville to also be good and for Mount Gilead to be improved.
