Highland will not advance to their second straight Final Four in volleyball, after falling in the district finals to Granville Saturday.

After making it to the state semifinals in Division III last year, Highland was edged in a Division II bout at Licking Heights. After losing the first set 23-25, the Scots rebounded with wins of 25-22 and 25-21. However, they couldn’t finish off the match, dropping the fourth by a 25-19 margin and getting edged 15-12 in the decisive fifth set.

The coaches recognized seniors Bailey Santo, Parker Steck and Krista Walters for their contributions over their time with the team, noting the varsity was 98-10, including 56-0 in the MOAC and KMAC while they were in the program — numbers that include four league championships, three district finals, two district championships, a regional championship and a Final Four appearance.
