Highland got a league win over Northmor on Friday, taking a 12-2 decision in the home game.

The score was 2-2 going into the bottom of the fourth, but the Scots tallied eight runs in their half of that inning to take a commanding lead and then closed the game with two more scores in the fifth.

Sam LoPiccolo and Kyle Munday combined to pitch a three-hitter. LoPiccolo struck out six batters and Munday picked up the win in relief. Both Scotty Adkins and Drew Duncan had two hits for the Scots, while Reese Weissenfluh cracked a triple.

Four pitchers took the mound for Northmor, with Chris Bood suffering the loss. Kyle Kegley, Hunter Mariotti and Hayes Bentley also pitched in the game. The quartet combined to strike out three and walk four.

Softball

Highland claimed a win at home against Northmor on Friday by an 8-3 margin.

The Scots scored once in both the first and third innings to take a 2-0 lead and then added a four-run fourth to go up by six in a game they wouldn’t trail in.

Both Morgan Wilhelm and Kelsey Walters tallied home runs in the game, while Katie Coffee and Kaitlyn Carney had multiple-hit games for Highland.
