Highland cruised through the first round of the Division II playoffs, dominating visiting Beechcroft by a 19-0 margin Tuesday.

The Scots scored twice in the first inning, but blew the game open with a 12-run third. Five more runs in the fourth inning provided the final margin of victory.

Max Schreiber pitched four innings of no-hit baseball for Highland, while Colten Liszkai handled the final frame. The team pounded 15 hits in the game, with five players having two apiece. Tate Tobin had an inside-the-park home run and a single, while Clay Matthews, Lane Ballard, Sam LoPiccolo and Matty Reid all had two hits. Mack Anglin added a double. Ballard scored four runs, while LoPiccolo drove in three.
