Highland split a doubleheader with Heath on the road Saturday.

In the first game, which the Scots won 14-4, they scored the first 10 runs of the game, including six in the second inning, and never looked back.

Harlee Steck drove in four runs in the contest on two hits. She had a home run in the second inning and a double in the third. Kelsey Walters also had a second-inning double to help the team jump out to their big lead.

In the game, Steck, Walters, Bridget Oder, Lucy Smith, Kaitlyn Carney and Morgan Wilhelm all had two hits, as the team mustered 16.

Highland got 11 hits in the second game, but only tallied four runs on that total in falling by a 7-4 margin.

Heath took a 3-0 lead in the first inning. While Highland closed within a 3-2 margin in the top of the second, they gave up one in the bottom of the inning and three in the third to fall behind 7-2 and could not recover from that deficit.

Wilhelm had two hits, including a fourth-inning home run. Mattie Ruehrmund also added two hits.
