Northmor opened their softball season by splitting a doubleheader with Crestline on Saturday, March 25.

The Knights lost the first game 7-6 in 10 innings. The Knights led 3-0 after the first frame and 6-2 after five innings, but gave up one in the sixth and three in the seventh to be forced into extra innings. The Bulldogs then scored the game-winner in the top of the 10th.

Shelbey Lilly took the loss. She struck out six, walked four and gave up 12 hits. Offensively, the team got a home run and single from Lydia Farley, a double and two singles from Lily Tate, four hits by Cristianna Boggs and two singles each from Andrea Weis and Brianna Bennett.

Northmor won the second game 5-1 with Lilly picking up the win. After committing five errors in the first game, the Knights only had one miscue in the second. No further information was available.

Northmor exploded offensively Monday, defeating Mansfield Christian 12-0. Lilly only gave up one hit and two walks, while striking out eight.

The Knights picked up eight hits and took advantage of six walks and three errors by the Flames. Lilly tallied a double and single, driving in six runs in the process, while Bennett finished with two hits.

On Wednesday, the bats were still cracking for Northmor in a 12-2 home win over Centerburg. Lilly had another strong start, giving up two hits and a walk. She struck out five.

Farley had two doubles and four RBIs in the game, while Lilly also had a double. Aly Blunk and Tate both had two singles.
