“The girls really bowled amazing today. Unbelievable! The thing that did it was the big counts on spares. We talked about this aspect of our game through the entire tournament season,” states coach Russ Montgomery.

In the finals, Northmor took on Springfield Northwestern in the first round. It would be Baker game versus Baker game in a best-of-five series. Game one would go to the Lady Warriors of Northwestern, 154-147. Northmor would bounce back to win game two 166-155. However, that’s where the luck would run out as Northwestern took games three and four, 188-161 and 180-155, respectively, and ending the Lady Golden Knights state championship hopes.

Northwestern finished third overall in the state, with the Knights eighth.

Winning the state title was Coldwater, defeating Willard 3-0 in the championship match.
