Third quarter woes doomed Highland in their Division II sectional opener in boys’ basketball on Monday night.
In their 45-33 loss to Granville, the game was close through two quarters, with the Scots trailing 9-7 after eight minutes of play and 18-15 at the half. However, they were outscored 17-8 in the third quarter and couldn’t recover. Both teams scored 10 in the fourth quarter, as the Blue Aces held on for the win.
Kaleb Phillips led Highland with 10 points, while Quin Winkelfoos added eight.
