Northmor’s season came to an end Thursday due to a strong defensive effort by North Union in the sectional finals.
The Knights were held to single digits in three of the four quarters in suffering a 57-32 tournament loss that ended their season with a 13-10 record, including a 10-4 league mark.
North Union jumped out to a 13-5 lead after the opening period and extended it to a 30-13 advantage by halftime. The Wildcats took a 21-11 advantage in the third to continue adding to their lead. While Northmor outscored their hosts 8-6 over the final eight minutes, they were unable to prevent NU from claiming the win.
Maddie Swihart had a strong day offensively for Northmor, connecting four times from long range and scoring 14 points.
