Highland swept Fairbanks in bowling on Tuesday, with the girls winning 1785-1660. Grace Rowe led the Lady Scots with a series of 344. Her individual games were 180 and 164. Also, Sophia Thompson had a game of 172 and Hailey Howard rolled a 171 game.
The boys had a 2024-1900 win, with Chris Mattix having a high game of 195 and Wade Adkins rolling a 184 game. The team also had Baker games of 191 and 183.
On Saturday, Feb. 4, the Scots split with Elgin. The boys won by a 2168-1963 margin. Dana Hicks led the team with a 409 series, while Jordan Grizzle added a 400 series. Brennen McLaughlin added a 201 game, while Ben Rinehart rolled a 195 game and Joey Bennett had one of 187.
The girls were topped 2004-1898. Howard led the team with a 359 series. Halie O’Leary had a 177 game, while both Rowe and Thompson rolled 170.
Thursday, Feb. 2 saw the Scot teams both top Mount Gilead.
The boys won 2004-1898, with Grizzle rolling a 374 series. Rinehart had a 190 game and Hicks added a 181 effort. The team also had a Baker game of 212.
For the girls, who won 1731-1195, O’Leary led the team with a 203 game. Autumn Burson had a 167 game, while Rowe rolled 163 and Howard’s top game was 162.
