A big third quarter boosted Northmor past Pleasant by a 56-43 score in a road Tuesday game.

Pleasant led 11-10 after the first quarter and 22-21 at the half, but Northmor took a 17-7 advantage in the third to take a nine-point lead. They would then finish off the Spartans by outscoring them 18-14 in the fourth quarter.

Demetrius Johnson tallied a game-high 22 points for the Knights, while Brock Pletcher hit four three-pointers on his way to 19 points. Tyler Kegley added 10 rebounds.

Highland Scots

Highland battled back in the second half to break into the win column with a 51-38 win over visiting Utica on Tuesday.

After leading 13-12 at the end of the opening period, the Scots watched their opponents take a 25-24 lead into the half. However, Highland took the third quarter 15-9 and the fourth 12-4 to regain the lead and move past the Redskins to the win.

Max Schreiber scored 15 points, hitting a trio of three-pointers in the contest. Both Mack Anglin and Alex Mason added 10, while Quin Winkelfoos picked up nine.

Mount Gilead Indians

The Mount Gilead boys struggled Tuesday on the road against Heath, getting outscored in all four quarters and losing 92-46.

Heath jumped out to a 19-5 lead in the first quarter and led 37-21 at the half. They would then pull away over the course of the third and fourth quarters, taking a 55-25 advantage in the second half to clinch the win.

For Mount Gilead, Tyler Bland had 11 points, Seth Young added 10 and Austin Vanderkooi finished with nine.
