Cardington High School will host a varsity football jamboree on Friday, Aug. 19, beginning at 7 p.m. This event is co-sponsored by the Ohio High School Athletic Association and allows schools to play a scrimmage-like contest that is operated like an actual game.

There will be four quarters played in game conditions, the band will perform at half time and the cheerleaders will perform throughout the evening. A gate price of $5 per ticket will be charged to offset the OHSAA fee and the cost of officials.

Before this event, there will be a spaghetti dinner hosted by the high school cheerleaders that includes spaghetti, roll, salad, dessert and drink for the cost of $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The dinner will take place from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Also, Cardington will be offering season passes again this year. For anyone planning to attend multiple high school sport contests or both high school and junior high contests in the same season, a season pass could save money.
