The Clearwater Athletic League held its fifth annual league volleyball tournament on Wednesday, June 15 at Cherry Street Gym in Mount Gilead.

In playoff games on Monday, June 13, the Angeline Indians defeated the Seneca Arrows by scores of 25-10 and 25-15 and the Fairway Chargers defeated the Whetstone Cougars by scores of 26-24 and 25-12.

In the consolation match on June 15, Whetstone defeated Seneca by scores of 25-18, 11-25 and 15-11 to finish in third place, while Seneca was fourth. In the championship match, Fairway defeated Angeline by scores of 23-25, 25-10 and 15-9 to finish in first place in the modified tournament.

The Clearwater Athletic League would like to congratulate all four teams on their outstanding efforts during these tournament games. As well, the CAL would like to thank Don Barchus and the Mount Gilead Exempted Village Schools for being such great hosts.
