The Highland volleyball team improved to 4-0 by winning their own six-team Highland Tournament on Saturday.
They opened with a 25-10, 25-11 win over Loudonville. Kam Terry tallied 12 kills and three aces, while Carley Gahm had 18 assists and Ashton Terrill added six kills.
In their second match, the Scots finished off Marysville 25-17, 25-19. Terry finished with 15 kills, while both Gahm and Lexi Winkelfoos picked up 18 assists each. Also, Terrill had 11 digs and six aces, while Megan Oder added four aces.
In the finals, the Scots topped Olentangy Orange 25-22, 25-21. Terry had 17 kills and Winkelfoos added six digs and 22 assists. Gahm added 19 assists, Terrill had five kills and seven digs and Brogin Denman picked up five kills and five digs.
Northmor picked up three wins last week to improve to 5-0 on the season. In their first match, a 25-10, 25-10, 25-18 win over Bucyrus Tuesday, Lauren Bood had eight digs and one ace and Mikayla Briggs added two blocks and four kills. Kelsey Reeder had four aces on a perfect 20-of-20 serving, Alisha Pletcher picked up 10 kills and Allie Tupps added 17 assists.
The Knights picked up a 25-5, 25-21, 25-14 win over Mount Gilead Thursday. Reeder had six digs and five kills, while Megan Milavec added five digs and Karlee Carroll contributed four aces.
Bood added three aces and six kills, while Pletcher finished with eight kills and two blocks. Also, Kayla Penney tallied two aces and Tupps picked up 21 assists.
On Saturday, the Knights had to work for the entire five games in order to beat North Union 25-23, 11-25, 26-24, 21-25 and 15-7.
Bood finished with 31 digs and 10 kills, while Reeder had 25 digs and nine kills. Lindsey Wiseman added 20 digs in the match, Jamie VanDerKooi had 19 and Milavec added 17. Karlee Carroll had an ace, Tupps finished with 41 assists and Briggs had 12 kills. Also, Pletcher finished with 15 kills and two blocks.
