The Mount Gilead Public Library opened its doors April 26 for their second annual “Arts Alive at the Library.”

There were two workshops offered on Flower Arranging and Origami. There were also make-and-take crafts for kids, demonstrations and information by the Morrow County Quilting Guild, the Morrow County Art League, and Whetstone Industries. Music throughout the day from local musicians was played and refreshments were served in the story hour room on the first floor.

The Flower Arranging Workshop was led by Erica Grooms, a flower designer and member of the Wayside Garden Club. The Origami workshop was led by an origami expert from the Ohio Paper Folders. During this two-hour, hands-on workshop, participants learned the basics of this ancient art form of paper folding.

Director Mike Kirk and the library would like to thank everyone that attended and volunteered their time.
