The Happy Wanderers will be traveling to Findlay and Ada for the afternoon and evening on March 17.
The Hancock Historical Museum in Findlay will be the first stop. Permanent exhibits display gas and oil booms of the 1880’s, Findlay Glass, the Civil War and World War II displays. The short term display will be “Something Old, Something New,” wedding dresses through the decades dating from 1910-1979. In addition to the unique textiles, the exhibit will tell the stories of women who wore them. A separate building features displays on transportation and agriculture in the county.
The second stop for the day will be at Dietsch Chocolates where the story will be told about the family owned business operating since 1937.
That evening, dinner will be enjoyed at the Inn at Ohio Northern University followed by the Symphonic Band Concert at the Freed Performing Arts Center on the ONU campus.
The bus will depart from Cardington for this excursion at 12:45 PM from the Cardington Park and at 1 pm from the Kroger parking lot.
A few reservations remain for the April trip to Sight and Sounds Theater in Pennsylvania to see the stage performance of “Moses.”
