Marengo held its formal groundbreaking ceremony at the new village park on May 11.

Marengo Mayor Mike Baker and the members of village council showed up smiling to thank the sponsors and volunteers who all conspired to make the park a reality.

It is currently moving towards the second phase of construction with work progressing at a brisk pace, thanks to Erdy Exscavating, Plan 4 Land, Fishburn Services, Jim Young Trucking, St. Mary’s School in Delaware, Whited family volunteers and the countless others, (Baker Family), who have donated time and money to make this public space a safe place for the entire area to enjoy.
