The Morrow Little Theatre is officially open for actors and visitors alike.

The ribbon was cut April 7, opening the Morrow Little Theatre at 102 East Main Street, Cardington.

Mayor Susie Peyton welcomed the troupe saying “We’re glad you chose Cardington.”

Visitors toured the building during the open house and viewed the stage with the setting in place for the first production, “Steel Magnolias” to be performed the evenings of April 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee at 2:30 p.m. on April 17.

Ken Barnett, director of the production, enthralled visitors at the open house with his portrayal of Mark Twain.

The wall mural was painted by Robin Brucker, retired art teacher.

Theatre board members are Joey Powell, president; Scott Persinger, vice president; Emily Levings, secretary; Nancy Grossman, treasurer; Laura McLaughlin, Betsy Anderson, Wayne Au, Jim Anderson, Ken Barnett, Amy Barr, and Jodi Baer.
