TOPS OH 1597, which meets Monday evenings at Trinity United Methodist Church in Mount Gilead, recently celebrated member successes.

TOPS stands for Take Off Pounds Sensibly. On March 21, division winners from 2015 were recognized. For recognition purposes, members are in weight divisions determined by their first weight of the year.

First place winner in Division 1 was Holly Allen; there were no Division 2 winners; first and second place winners in Division 3 were Connie Ross and Rowena Whipple; first and second place winners in Division 4 were Diana Kemp and Joyce Taylor.

Those members lost a total of 116.2 pounds.

While losing weight is difficult, keeping it off is equally difficult. Diana Kemp was honored for reaching her doctor determined goal weight and earned her KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) status.

Diana was also crowned Chapter Queen. Royalty is selected from first-time registered KOPS in the current calendar year.

All of the honored members are an inspiration to the rest of the members who struggle with weight loss. TOPS isn’t a diet or an exercise program, but a support program for whatever discipline works for each member.

TOPS is not only for women, men and children over the age of seven are encouraged to join. Chapter 1597 currently has 25

members and is always open to welcoming new members. Weigh in starts at 4:30 with the program following at 5:30. If you would like more information, call Diana Kemp, Chapter Leader at 419-295-0001.
