The Marionaires Barbershop Chorus is set to present “That’s Life” on April 30 at the Palace Theatre beginning at 7 p.m.
The group sings a variety of songs all written in the barbershop style including the show opener, “That’s Life”, a favorite by Frank Sinatra.
The Marionaires will also perform a number of other tunes including “Whispering”, music from the 1800’s and a 2012 penned song, titled “You’re gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone”.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 6 p.m. with Dave Calendine sitting in on the organ. Calendine is a well-known musician and an honorary member of the Marionares.
The group will perform with local quartets, ‘The Hot Air Baffoons’- the former Johnny Appleseed District Champion and Quorum- the current Johnny Appleseed District Champion.
Morrow Country residents singing with the Marionaires include Ron Carsner, Dick Casto, Mike Curtis, Gary Gandee, Junior Heimlich, Ken Heimlich, Roland Hildebrand, Al Miller, Bob Miller, Brad Mosher, Harold Ruth, Don Yake and Josh Yake.
Following the event, there will be an afterglow experience held in the May Pavilion, which includes refreshments and more barbershop singing.
