ASHLAND COUNTY

Interstate 71 ***NEW***

I-71, at US Route 250, has intermittent single lane closures for the installation of new light poles at the interchange. Two lanes of I-71 will be maintained at all times, and the entrance and exit ramps will also have intermittent shoulder work as part of the project. The work is expected to be complete by April 8, 2016.

State Route 179 ***NEW***

SR 179, just south of State Route 95, will close Monday, April 4, for a culvert replacement. The detour route for southbound motorists is SR 179 to SR 95, west on SR 95 to SR 60, south on SR 60 to SR 3, east on SR 3 to SR 179, and reverse for northbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen April 8, 2016.

State Route 302 ***NEW***

SR 302, just northwest of Interstate 71, will close Monday, April 4, for culvert replacements. The detour route for westbound motorists is SR 302 to SR 301, north on SR 301 to SR 604, west on SR 604 to SR 302, and reverse for eastbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen April 8, 2016.

State Route 89 ***NEW***

SR 89, just north of Polk, will be reduced to one lane of traffic starting Monday, April 4, as part of a resurfacing project between US Route 42 and State Route 58. One lane of two-way traffic will be maintained with flaggers at all times. The project is expected to be complete in September 2016.

CRAWFORD COUNTY

State Route 61/309

SR 61/309 (Portland Way South) is closed by the City of Galion for road repairs. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 288 east to SR 19 north, SR 309/19 (Winchester Rd) to SR 598, and reverse for southbound motorists. The project is expected to be complete in July 2016.

ERIE COUNTY

US Route 250 ***UPDATE***

US 250 has intermittent lane restrictions for excavation work as part of a corridor improvement project between Bogart Road and Sycamore Line Road. Bogart Road, east of US Route 250, will close Monday, April 4. Work includes widening the intersection and replacing a culvert east of US 250. Motorists are encouraged to use Hull Road east to Galloway Road south as an alternate to access Bogart Road. The road is expected to reopen July 4; however, all work is weather sensitive. Crews are working in various areas along the route, and specific project work can be found online at transportation.ohio.gov/250. The project carries a completion date of September 2016.

LORAIN COUNTY

State Route 2

SR 2, between the Ohio Turnpike/Interstate 90 split and Middle Ridge Road, is reduced to narrowed lanes of traffic for a major bridge rehabilitation project in a contraflow traffic pattern. Motorists are encouraged to use extreme caution while navigating this work zone and watch for slower moving traffic as it merges in to an open lane. The project is expected to be complete in October 2016.

Parsons Road (Township Road 15)

Township Road 15 (Parsons Road), just east of Hale Road, is closed for a bridge replacement project. The detour route for eastbound motorists is Parsons Road to West Road, south on West Road to Kipton Nickle Plate Road, east on Kipton Nickle Plate Road to Nickle Plate Diagonal Road, north on Nickle Plate Diagonal Road to Parsons Road, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen April 30, 2016.

State Route 83

SR 83, at its bridge over the Ohio Turnpike, is reduced to one lane of traffic and controlled by a traffic signal by the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission for a part-width bridge deck replacement. The travel lane is restricted to 10 feet wide through the construction zone. The project is expected to be complete in June 2016

State Route 18

SR 18, between Kelly Street and Depot Street in the Village of Wellington, is closed for railroad crossing repairs. The detour route for eastbound motorists is SR 18 to SR 511, north on SR 511 to US 20, east on US 20 to SR 58, south on SR 58 to SR 18, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen April 16, 2016.

State Route 611 (Henderson Memorial Bridge) ***NEW***

SR 611, at the Henderson Memorial Bridge, is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction for bridge repairs. During this phase of the project, two-way traffic will be maintained on the northbound lanes and restricted to 11 feet lane widths through the construction zone. Work will continue on the project through October 2016.

MEDINA COUNTY

US Route 42 (Pearl Road)

US 42 (Pearl Road), at its intersection with Fenn Road, is restricted to narrower lane widths as part of an intersection improvement project. Lane widths are 10 feet on Fenn Road and 11 feet on Pearl Road. Left turn lanes on both Pearl and Fenn Roads are restricted to 10 feet. Weather permitting, this phase of the project is expected to be complete in late June. Work will continue on the project through October 2016.

State Route 57/Interstate 71

SR 57, at its bridge over Interstate 71, is reduced to one lane of traffic for bridge repairs. One lane of two-way traffic will be maintained with flaggers. This work will also require lane restrictions on Interstate 71 as needed, and two lanes of I-71 will be maintained during the daytime work hours at all times in each direction. This work is expected to be complete in May 2016.

State Route 94 ***NEW***

SR 94, between Eastern Road and Wall Road, will close Monday, April 4, for an embankment repair. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 94 to SR 585, west on SR 585 to SR 57, north on SR 57 to Interstate 76, east on I-76 to SR 94, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen April 8, 2016.

RICHLAND COUNTY

State Route 314

SR 314, at its bridge over US 30 just north of West Fourth Street, is closed for bridge repairs. The detour route for northbound motorists is West Fourth Street (Old US 30) west to SR 61 north, SR 61 north to SR 314, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen April 6, 2016.

State Routes 39, 61 & 96 ***NEW***

Within the City of Shelby, State Route 39, State Route 61 and State Route 96 are being resurfaced as part of an urban paving project. Starting Monday, April 4, the resurfacing will start at the north end of SR 61 and continue to the south end of SR 61 to SR 314. One lane of two-way traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. Weather permitting, the work is expected to be complete in June 2016.

State Route 13 ***NEW***

SR 13, between Mill Run Street (State Route 97) and West Ogle Street in the Village of Bellville, is closed for bridge repairs. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 13 north to State Route 97, SR 97 north to Interstate 71, I-71 north to State Route 13 south, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen April 26, 2016.

WAYNE COUNTY

State Route 21 ***NEW***

SR 21, from the Stark County line to the Summit County line, will be reduced to one lane of traffic beginning Thursday, April 7 for work as part of a spot pavement repair project. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times. The project is expected to be complete in September 2016.
